European Debt Crisis

Since the late 2009, fears of a sovereign debt crisis have developed among fiscally conservative investors concerning some European states. The situation has become particularly tense since the early 2010 and with the largely unpopular changes required to be made by the nations involved, to solve the problem, a solution doesn’t look very easy to come by. With the potential of destabilizing the Euro Interbank Offered Rate and the loss of investor confidence with Euro bonds if any radical changes were to come about, the European Union doesn’t have many solutions to this delicate problem which continues to intensify and trouble the more stable economies in the Euro Zone. The council will discuss the correct direction for the European Union and the different Euro Zone economies. Whether the council will consider removing certain weaker economies from the Euro Zone or propose proper time bound solutions will be the important aspect of this council.
