The use of technology and our reliance on it has been increasing exponentially. Everything ranging from basic communication to shopping and health records are now stored and transmitted using the internet and other forms of technology. The risks of cyber-attacks from private organizations and between different nations are very real and the scale of damage is still not completely understood by most parties involved. With no real framework or convention present with any international body today to prevent any such attacks from taking place or dealing with their consequences and offenders at an international level, IMPACT will aim to draft a convention detailing ethics and rules which must be followed by all nations when dealing with cyber related matters.
